"So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate." (Matt. 19:6 - NIV)
Our Commitment
The institution of marriage deserves an opportunity and has a God thegiven right to thrive in a society that does little to support marriages. Under the direction and the grace of God, we are committed to working for a better marriage . . . Beginning with our own.
Our Goals
It is a given fact that marriage is either growing or regressing. Growth does not happen with good intentions or because two people love one another. A growing marriage involves the willingness to work diligently on a variety of areas and the dependence upon God to make you the best spouse possible. Therefore, the goals of the Marriage Ministry are to strengthen good marriages, save troubled marriages, and reconcile broken marriages. The Word of God will be our guide.
The Metropolitan Community Church believes that churches have an obligation to help bond married couples together for life, and help them live up to the vows they promised each other, with in the church and before God. It is the intention of this ministry to be a witnessing example of this essential role.
