 Purpose/Mission
To provide outreach to an ever-changing religious community, using various forms of communication. The communication, whether spoken, sung, or signed, is designed to teach, uplift, enlighten and illustrate the power and love of God.
Meeting Times
There are no regular meeting times unless ministry participants are working on a specific production to be presented for the congregation. Those participants in sign language classes meet once a week for a 10-week period. Those participants with sign language duties during church services meet once a week to discuss upcoming programs, meetings, special events, and church services.
Annual Dues/Fees:
Although there are no annual fees to participate in the drama/sign language ministry, those who sign up for sign language classes pay for the cost of books and materials. Those participants wishing to become a part of Black Deaf Advocates pay an annual fee of $20.00 to that organization. Metropolitan sign language participants participate in various BDA sponsored events throughout the year.
