| The Cal-Met Village, 4101 S. Calumet Avenue, is a seven-story structure consisting of 76 units (57 one-bedroom units and 19 studios). It is an all-electric building, elevator operated with laundry facilities, a social room, parking and security.
Primary Purpose The primary purpose of the building is to promote the health, security, happiness, and usefulness in longer living for residents of the community, by providing elderly and handicapped individuals with housing facilities and services designed to meet their physical, social, and psychological needs. Building Activities Activities at the building include: Bible Study, Arts and Crafts, Movies, Field Trips, Grocery Shopping Day, Commodities Day, Quarterly Birthday Parties, Annual Cook Outs, Outreach Postal Service, Community Watch (Police and Fire Department), Energy Programs, and other in-house activities. Health and Social Services Health and Social services include: Health Care Providers, Podiatry Care, Blood Pressure Services, Pharmacy Services, Dental Advice, Department of Aging Meetings and Health Plan Works Shops.
