Purpose:
The Banner and Bulletin Board Ministry is a ministry of works. We are dedicated to serving God through our hands and our hearts. Our purpose is to create beautiful banners that will adorn the Sanctuary, and bulletin boards that communicate important information to our church family and friends.
Our Banners:
Our Ministry understands that the making of banners is a response to the command that we "make His praise glorious." Psalms 20:5 reads, "We rejoice in Thy salvation and in the name of our God we will set up our banners." Therefore, our banners are designed to encourage worship and elicit the praise of God.
Our banners adorn the Sanctuary and will represent visual messages from the Word of God. Our banners are also used by our Praise Dancers to edify the Word of God as they praise His name through dance.
Our Bulletin Boards:
Our bulletin boards communicate information to the Metropolitan Community Church family and friends. Our goal is to keep the congregation, and friends, informed of activities and upcoming events that are sponsored by Metropolitan Community Church, as well as other churches and organizations in the community.
Meetings:
Meetings will be held for the purpose of establishing projects and their due dates.
Join Us:
The work that we do will require some sewing, pasting, cutting, measuring, and layout abilities. However, you do not need to be proficient in these skills to be a member of this ministry. Faithfulness, a willing heart and a commitment to excellence is all that is required. |
